BUMBLE DATE BOOK: Napa County, June 1998; Jake Blevins and Bobby Calvin are arrested for viscously mutilating the remaining members of their band Overstella with fishnet stockings and broken beer bottles. July 1998; Jake and Bobby are acquitted of all responsibility because the ski masks left at the scene wouldn't fit. August 1, 1998; Jake and Bobby start new project named "Beat up my band leader Evans." August 2, 1998; Decide band name is too long so it was shortened to BUMBLE. August 3, 1998; Decide band needs more than guitar and drums; Hunt is on. August 13, 1998; Find bassist named "Big Guy" August 14, 1998; Find new bassist named Jesse Crane. Fire old bassist Big Guy, but not tell him so new bassist can use his equipment. August 25, 1998; Big Guy finds out new bassist is using his equipment. Jake and Bobby spend night in jail on assault charges. September 10, 1998; Decide band needs a horn section; Hunt is on. September 16, 1998; Abe Newman and Jimi Mitchell join band as horn section. Bumble is born. May 2002; Jesse Crane changes his name to Sam Rhoades. February 2003; Sam Rhoades Changes his name back to Jesse Crane. BUMBLE DROPS SOME NAMES: Bumble derives its unique blend of Punk and Ska music from members who have very diverse musical influences in the arenas of Punk, Reggae, Ska, Jazz, Metal as well as others. Since our inception in 1998 we have performed all over the bay area along side some pretty cool bands such as; Goldfinger, Mest, Dynamite Hack, MadCap, Agent51, Lets Go Bowling, Johnny Socko, Filibuster, Punch the Clown, The Dingees, and many more. Bumble has also recorded two EP's; "88cents" and "Big Fat EP" in '99 and '00 respectively. Bumble's first full-length album is currently being recorded and will be released in October on our own DIY label, Idiot Daily Records. As for zine exposure we had an article in the February 99 issue of Section 'M' magazine and the January issue of Negative Trend. In addition to our club shows we have played countless parties and events around our hometown of Napa and Sonoma. Our goal right now is to play as many shows as possible, finish our album and go on the road playing gigs across the country.
